After School Clubs
This club is run by South Shields Judo Club. Tommy and Beth Foster run this club with a combined total of 85 years experience.
SSJC first came to Biddick Hall Infant School in September 2010 for an initial 4 week taster. Over 6 years later SSJC @BHI is still providing an after school club each week.
Judo is a fun sport, an art, a discipline, a recreational or social activity, a fitness program, a means of self-defence or combat, and a way of life. At the end of each month SSJC @BHI awards the player of the month trophy. The trophy remains in school with a photograph of the child who has been awarded this prestigious award outside of the Head Teachers office. The award winner will, in, addition receive a medal which they take home with them.
Judo runs every Thursday until 4pm.
Multi-Skills club allows KS1 children to develop their gross motor skills through fun games and challenging activities. The club is led by a professional coach who encourages children to develop in both strength and stamina. Our children enjoy the competitive, nurturing nature of this club. Favourite activities include: Rainbow Race, Speed Bounce and Relays.
Multi-Skills after school club runs every Wednesday after school until 4:15pm.
On a Monday night, Year 1 and Year 2 children participate in the Dance Club. The children have been learning about the different types of music and dance moves they can perform. The children have been enjoying listening to different songs and copying moves. Children have been enjoying a mixture of hip-hop, pop and African style music and dance. The children are looking forward to performing some of their moves and routines for others very soon.
Dance Class runs every Monday until 4pm.
